Jose Luis Cordeiro

“Transhumanism: Human or inhuman?”

An engineer from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a Master in Business Administration from Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD) and has studied International Economics and Comparative Politics at Georgetown University. In addition to his activities as President Emeritus of the Future World Society (Venezuela), he is a professor, founder and researcher at Singularity University; a research center created by NASA, Google, and other companies located in NASA’s Research Center in Silicon Valley where the research how to solve problems related to health, nutrition, poverty, and human education through technology. A Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of Developing Economies (IDE – JETRO) in Tokyo, Codeiro is also the director of the Single Global Currency Association (SGCA) and the Lifeboat Foundation, cofounder of the Internet Society, a board advisor to the Center for Responsible Nanotechnology (CRN), a member of the Academic Committee of the Center for the Dissemination of Economic Knowledge (CEDICE) and the World Futures Studies Federation (WFSF), and advisor of the Venezuelan Association of Executives (AVE) and of other companies and international organizations. He assures that scientific advances will make human immortality possible in the year 2045.
